Manchester Pride is one of the UK’s leading LGBTQ+ charities. They campaign for LGBTQ+ equality, celebrate LGBTQ+ life and create opportunities that engage LGBTQ+ people in Greater Manchester so that they can thrive.
Every year, they host The Manchester Pride Festival, a 4 day event in the heart of Manchester, and one of the UK’s largest Pride celebrations. Over 140,000 people attend the event which has brought artists like Ariana Grande, Years & Years, Emelie Sande and Cheryl amongst others into the city to celebrate LGBTQ+ life.
In August 2016, our co-founder & videographer Harry attended Manchester Pride to film FGH Security and the work they were doing at the festival. While there, he put together a separate short video showing the Pride Parade, which was later shared by the official Manchester Pride Facebook page. The founders were really impressed by what was produced that they asked Harry to come back in 2017 to film the Official Aftermovie for the event. The theme for Pride in 2017 was focussed on education and equality, aspects that we looked to heavily incorporate into the video.
We produced this three minute long aftermovie showing off the colour and celebration of the event.
“Manchester Pride has had the pleasure of working with the McGill Productions team for several years, and we’re consistently impressed by their professionalism, the outstanding quality and uniqueness of their work. Their passion for creating not only captivating videography, but something that reflects our identity as a charity and the spirit of Manchester Pride Festival so perfectly is admirable.”
