BRIEF

Following the Covid-19 pandemic, Virgin relaunched their new cruise line 'Virgin Voyages'. In collaboration with Fraser James, we were invited to create a series of short, snappy social videos to show off their flagship carrier 'The Scarlet Lady'. Our mission was to create content aimed at adults aged 18-35, showing off all of the ship’s unique features. Along with this, we also delivered a package of 40 photographs, edited by us to further support the promotion of the luxury cruise line.

BRIEF

PRE-PRODUCTION

To prepare for this project, we reflected on Virgin Voyages previous social content, looking at the types of content that were performing best and how we could bring our original style into the mix. We had brainstorming sessions with Fraser James, planning which areas of the ship we wanted to highlight in particular, making sure that we had a clear direction for when we boarded, so as not to waste any time.

We were on board The Scarlett Lady for three days, setting sail from Portsmouth, which is where we returned. The team captured content from all areas of the ship, such as the pools, gym, casino, and party area, highlighting the variety of activities and entertainment on offer to sailors.


Our footage was captured on the RED Scarlet-W camera, which films in exceptional 5K quality, allowing us to produce cinematic videos, rich with natural colour.
