WHO ARE THEY?

Spirit Energy, former subsidiary of Centrica Energy, are an exploration & production (E&P) company in the oil and gas industry. Headquartered in Barrow-In-Furness, Spirit own and operate a plethora of onshore and offshore assets across northern Europe. With over 30 years experience in Morecambe Bay in the UK, as well as 14 years operation experience in the North Sea off the coast of Norway, Spirit Energy has a strong portfolio of oil & gas assets in various stages of exploration, development, production and decommissioning.

WHAT DID WE DO?

We were contracted by Spirit Energy to revamp their safety induction process. Spirit wanted to be considered the ‘Google of the oil industry’, and asked for creativity in the new induction, with attention drawn specifically to the system by which the videos were delivered. The company hired us to create an innovative, engaging, cinematic series of videos that outlined the important safety procedures when on site. They felt their previous induction video was dated and found that most workers lost interest very quickly. Given the extreme risks involved in working at/in an oil and gas terminal, it was imperative that all visitors and workers were clear on the safety procedures.

WHAT WE CREATED

We delivered a brand new digital interactive system comprised of 8 video chapters with multiple choice questions. This new system was completely digital and the first of its kind in the industry. The new system was accessible both on and off site for workers to complete, with the multiple choice answers being emailed to relevant HSE managers upon completion.
