Brother Industries, a global electronics and sewing technology brand, approached McGill Productions with a clear challenge: launch the Airflow 3000 with a campaign that felt bold, youthful, and commercially polished for the European market. The team needed a video production partner who could turn a technical product launch into a more aspirational piece of brand storytelling, while delivering a full suite of assets across a two-month pre-production schedule, one shoot day, and final delivery in 2022.

The goal was simple: launch the Airflow 3000 in a way that would connect with a younger generation of makers, fashion-led creatives, and small business owners. Brother wanted to move beyond a standard product demonstration and create a campaign that showed what the machine could unlock for ambitious users building something of their own.
The audience was aged 25 to 40, and the content needed to feel contemporary, inspirational, and visually sharp. The finished campaign was designed for use across Brother's digital marketing channels, social platforms, and retail environments across Europe.

McGill Productions began in pre-production by developing a narrative-led concept built around a young fashion designer whose side hustle grows into a full-time business. That approach gave the Airflow 3000 a clear role inside a wider story about creativity, momentum, and growth.
Over two months, McGill Productions handled concept development, scriptwriting, storyboarding, casting, logistics, and location planning. Two Manchester locations were secured for the shoot: a contemporary home to represent the designer's starting point, and a loft-style studio space to show the next stage of growth.
Production was completed in a single shoot day with a crew of sixteen. The campaign was shot on RED Scarlet-W cameras, with controlled lighting and haze used to give the film more depth and a cleaner premium finish. One of the more technical parts of the production involved creating a night-time look during daylight hours, using blackout paper and shaped lighting to build the right atmosphere without compromising image quality.
In post-production, McGill Productions delivered a two-minute hero film, seven social cutdowns, and a photography package of more than 130 campaign stills. Editing, colour grading, sound, and final asset preparation were handled to create a launch-ready campaign package for Brother's European rollout.

The final campaign gave Brother a strong launch asset set for the Airflow 3000, positioning the product in a more aspirational, fashion-led way for the European market. The work went on to win Campaign and PR Week's Brand Film Awards EMEA 2023 in the Consumer Goods category, NYX Awards Grand Winner in Branded Content, Business-to-Consumer, and Hermes Creative Awards Platinum Winner recognition.
Just as importantly, the project marked the start of an ongoing relationship with Brother. Since 2022, McGill Productions has continued working with the brand, delivering five further campaigns after the original two productions completed that year — a strong sign that the work landed creatively, commercially, and at client level.
“We loved working with you and are so impressed with the quality of the films and photos that came from these shoots. It was amazing seeing you 'get' the product, the feel we wanted, and just translate it into these amazing assets.”
