ONLINE LEARNING VIDEO
EST 2017

WATCHED, NOT JUST RECORDED
Learning video that holds attention builds understanding, memory and trust, the things a slide deck never can. People follow it the first time, and still know it long after the module ends.
BUILT TO BE REMEMBERED
Every module is built around the result it has to earn: a lesson people actually finish, knowledge they recall when it counts, and a curriculum people trust enough to take seriously.
ONE LIBRARY, ONE STANDARD
We build your content as modular films, so a whole curriculum looks like one team made it, delivered in the formats and aspect ratios your platform or LMS needs, ready to upload.
LECTURE CAPTURE IS NOT THE ANSWER
A recorded lecture is not a lesson. A camera left at the back of the room gives students the part they could already get in person, minus the room. A study of 6.9 million edX viewing sessions (Guo, Kim & Rubin, 2014) found attention falls away sharply after about six minutes. The recording runs for an hour, and the hardest material usually sits in the part nobody reaches.
FILMING IT YOURSELVES RARELY FIXES IT
So the work goes in-house. A subject expert records on Teams, a screen gets captured, and it is cheaper on the day. But one faculty ends up looking polished while another looks like a video call, and on a programme a student has paid for, that difference reads as a verdict on the programme itself. A twenty minute module most learners abandon at minute six is not a learning resource. It is an expensive non-event that still has to be captioned, hosted and maintained for years, and it feeds the completion data your whole institution is measured against.

OUR PROCESS
THE PROOF
We produce online learning content for Lancaster University, a university that holds its teaching to the same standard it holds its research. We have done the same for American education companies like 2U, and for health and safety training in the energy industry with Spirit Energy and Drax. Most of our clients come back, and several have commissioned five or more programmes with us.
The standard is not self-declared. We won Best Brand Storytelling for Consumer Goods at the Brand Film Awards EMEA 2023, ahead of Virgin Atlantic and Amazon. That is the standard a prospective student reads in your sample module before they ever open the prospectus.
Every module is delivered with accurate, human-reviewed captions and transcripts, built to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Auto-generated captions do not meet the standard, so we do not rely on them. Accessibility is part of how the work is produced, not a retrofit your team has to chase after sign-off.
Most subject experts are brilliant in a seminar and uncomfortable the moment a lens points at them. We build each session around getting a real, confident performance out of the person who knows the material best, so your academics sound like themselves on a good day. Your learners can tell.

FAQ
Because video is the only thing we do. Every pound of your budget goes into what your learners see on screen, and the team that scopes your programme is the same team that films and edits it. That is how a whole module library holds one standard from first film to last — and why most of our clients commission again.
Yes. The core team that scopes your programme is the team that creates and directs it. Harry directs on set, with a hand-picked specialist crew chosen for each production, such as a gaffer or an extra camera, depending on what the shoot needs. The work is never handed off wholesale to whoever is free.
Yes. Most learning projects start from material that already exists: a lecture, a set of slides, a written module, or a subject expert who knows it cold but is not a presenter. We turn what teaches well on the page into video that teaches well on screen, and keep your expert accurate.
A learning or training film is a premium investment, scoped to the project: the number of modules, shoot days, locations and how much animation or graphics you need. Tell us what you are building and we will scope it and give you a clear, no-obligation quote.
Most single modules run from brief to final delivery over a few weeks, covering the Truth Hunt, pre-production, the shoot and post. For a full library we agree a batch schedule up front so your platform fills steadily.
We are a UK specialist with our HQ in Lancaster, working across the UK and internationally, including regularly in Manchester and London. We film in our studio or on location, wherever the teaching or the site is.
